The 7th Conference of the China Central and Eastern European Union Chamber of Commerce will be held

The reporter learned from a press conference on May 5th that the Third China Central and Eastern European Countries Expo and International Consumer Goods Expo will be held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province from May 16th to 20th, with the theme of "Deepening Practical Cooperation and Joining Hands for the Future". Hungary serves as the guest of honor for this expo, while Jiangsu Province serves as the theme province. As of today, political leaders from 7 Central and Eastern European countries and officials from 13 Central and Eastern European embassies and consulates in China have expressed their intention to attend.
The reporter learned that during the Expo, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province will hold the seventh meeting of the China Central and Eastern European Union Chamber of Commerce on May 15th. In 2014, in accordance with the important consensus reached during the China CEE Leaders' Meeting, the China CEE Joint Chamber of Commerce was officially established and has become an important component of China CEE cooperation and an important characteristic platform for promoting economic and trade exchanges between China and CEE countries.
At the press conference, Zhang Shaogang, Vice President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said that in recent years, despite the impact of the COVID-19, economic and trade exchanges between China and Central and Eastern European countries have remained hot. At the end of last year, I led an economic and trade delegation to visit the Czech Republic, Poland, and Croatia, and truly felt the eager expectations of the business communities of both sides for deepening cooperation in areas such as infrastructure, agricultural trade, green and digital economy
Zhang Shaogang stated that in this context, this meeting will be themed "Seeking Cooperative Development and Welcoming a Better Future Together", with four stages: opening ceremony, topic discussion, matchmaking and promotion, and China Council meeting, to build a high-quality platform for exchanges and cooperation between the business communities of China and Central and Eastern European countries. The main features of this meeting include:
Firstly, this is a meeting held by the business communities of China and Central and Eastern European countries at a new starting point, which will jointly depict a beautiful vision for the next stage of cooperation between the two sides. This year marks the beginning of the second decade of the cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries. Taking this opportunity, we will hold the seventh meeting of the Joint Chamber of Commerce with the core content of jointly planning future cooperation. More than 200 representatives from both business associations and well-known enterprises will attend the meeting. This fully reflects the urgent expectations and good wishes of the business communities of both sides for improving the quality, efficiency, and stability of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries. The 7th Conference of the China Central and Eastern European Union Chamber of Commerce will be held
Secondly, this is a meeting held by the business communities of China and Central and Eastern European countries in the post pandemic era, which will gather strong synergy in cross regional cooperation. This meeting is the first time since the outbreak of the epidemic that representatives from the business community of China and Central and Eastern European countries have been widely invited to participate offline in China. Currently, more than 150 companies have signed up to attend. Through face-to-face and warm exchanges, we aim to renew friendship, discuss cooperation, and seek common development, gathering strong forces from the business community to deeply participate in China Central and Eastern European countries' economic and trade cooperation.
Thirdly, this is a meeting that adheres to a pragmatic and results oriented approach. We will contribute to the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries with tangible results. On the basis of detailed research on the cooperation needs and intentions of both parties' enterprises, the United Chamber of Commerce will organize precise "one-on-one" negotiation meetings for enterprises, and it is expected to arrange 365 offline and online business meetings. We hope that these talks can more efficiently facilitate a batch of new cooperation projects.
Next, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will work with all parties to prepare for the conference and promote more results in business cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries, "said Zhang Shaogang.
